My name is Christian Ortiz. I was born and raised in San Jose California. When I was 17 my parents moved us to small town in Southern California. I honestly didn’t like living in a small town and always felt I belonged in a big city. I live in Southern California for 13 before moving to Las Vegas In 2013. I followed my sister that was living here in Las Vegas already for 2 years. My sister is like my second mom. I remember my sister and brother in-law asking me when I moved here what I wanted to do and be out here in what’s and I told them I wanted to be a bartender on the Las Vegas strip. I just didn’t want to work at any bar. I wanted to bartend at O’sheas my favorite bar. I was able to live my dream. I moved out here 7 years ago and went to a job fair for O’sheas and knew no one here and I was lucky to get the job at O’Sheas as a bar porter. Then I got promoted to being a Bar back and then I took the union classes to finally become a bartender. I became a bartender at O’sheas. I didn’t realize till after I got my job that what I was able to do is not easy but had / have a lot going great people well honestly great friends that have help me get here. If it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t have been able to. I been working at O’Sheas now for 6 and a half years going on 7. I love working at O’Sheas on the Las Vegas strip because I get to make a memory for someone that’s on vacation. Hopefully a good one. Lol. Also I meet people from all over the world. I have so many different people from everywhere at my bar that are on vacation or whatever the reason they are in Vegas but at my bar. Well they are at my bar and we start talk I kind of go on vacation without ever leaving my bar. And for me that is a beautiful thing and wouldn’t want to do anything else right now in my life.
